When you trust an app with data about a $500,000+ home build — defects, contracts, payment records, builder communications — you need to know that you own that data.
Download Everything
The new "Download My Data" button on your profile page exports your complete Guardian dataset as a JSON file. This includes:
- Your profile and account details
- All projects with their full history
- Every defect, variation, inspection, and certificate
- Payment records and budget tracking
- Communication logs and site visit records
- Builder reviews and checklist progress
It's your data. You should always be able to take it with you.
Account Deletion
If you've finished your build and no longer need Guardian, you can now permanently delete your account from the profile page. This removes:
- Your profile and authentication credentials
- All project data across every table
- All uploaded files (photos, documents, certificates)
Deletion requires email confirmation to prevent accidents. Once confirmed, it's immediate and irreversible.
We recommend downloading your data first — especially if you're still within your warranty period. Those records could be valuable for years to come.
